RAIN

As it patters
Softly and gently
On the rooftops,
On the paved streets,
And rolling hills.

Mama's loving, warm face
comes to mind.
And how she use to
tell me that,
Rain was from
Angels
crying in heaven.

FOR MY HUSBAND

A golden band placed upon my finger.
A promise made from my heart,
To have and to hold from this day forward
Together, "Till death we do part."

Yet, is love not meant to be eternal?
My heart beats that this is true.
For there is no force upon the earth,
That could take my love from you.

AN AUTUMN'S DAY

Golden leaves,
rustled noislessly
over the ground.
Their color
was rich and pure,
And fire seemed
to be the intensity
of their beauty.
Somewhere, a bird
sang his last song
before taking flight
To a far more
sunnny and warm place.
I had walked far and long,
On that path,
And my day was drawing near.
I stopped-
And turned to go,
My heart was filled
With such sorrow.
For this was
Such a lovely place.
Yet,
There was still
Another autumn day.
