Today our class is getting ready for Open House. Since we will be doing a butterfly garden this year, we decided to make butterfly cookies for our parents. The students rolled out the dough, cut out the cookies and then came the fun part! We all painted our cookies with special cookie paint. I think that they turned out wonderful. What do you think?

Carmen, loved the cookies. I've been doing fine since retiring from teaching (relatively early for my age, but I was just at that point that I was ready to do something else). Your picture gave me a twinge, though. We always had a chrysalis in class so the children could watch the butterfly emerge. We had a butterfly garden in front of the school. Your children are lucky to have you. I hope you have a great school year. Risa
